Applications and reference to the GMFCS are ever-more-ubiquitous. Come join fellow pedi PTs to discuss this powerful tool and best practice!

Attendees will be able to

• Describe GMFCS development and levels.
• Will be able to determine GMFCS level based on case discussion and video observation.
• Will be able to communicate with other providers and with families using the GMFCS level and the ICF.
• Will be able to collaborate with families to develop goals and treatment plan informed by GMFCS and ICF.

60min presentation, 30min discussion
Brief overview of the history of CP classification and the development of GMFCS levels
Review of the GMFCS, with narrative and video cases for the group to “level”
Discussion of utility of the GMFCS including in research and in reviews of evidence, in peer and team collaboration, and in the care and support of individuals with CP and their families
