Neurology SIG
The Neurology SIG is a newly formed group that has been created to form a community of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students with interest in the practice of neurologic physical therapy here in Connecticut. Our objectives are:
-
To provide opportunities for physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and physical therapy students to meet and participate in activities related to neurologic physical therapy practice.
-
To promote evidence-based physical therapy practice
-
To stimulate an increased interest in the field of neurologic physical therapy
-
To provide local opportunities for individuals to enhance their skills and to stay updated regarding novel assessments and interventions related to neurologic physical therapy
-
To establish a referral list/network of local therapists, whose focus is on neurologic PT, for therapists and for patients.
-
To cooperate in carrying out APTA of CT activities and supporting their projects to further the objectives and functions of the APTA of CT
We are in the early stages of development and would love for you to join us and share your ideas, insights and energy!
