Course Description:
This 8 hour course is designed to teach mobility assessment and correction as well as proper biomechanical technique for basic strength exercises and Olympic lifts including: Squats (Back, Front, Overhead), Deadlift, Clean and Jerk, and Snatch. Although many variations and myths regarding these lifts exist, there is only one proper biomechanically – based technique when teaching them. This acts as the foundation from which all rehabilitation exercise progressions begin.

As a participant, through didactic learning and hands-on practical workshop sessions, you will understand how to functionally assess and properly administer these movements. Also you will develop corrective exercises progressions so your patients move safely and efficiently, helping to prevent future injury. You will learn the clinical relevance and importance of integrating these common exercises into a holistic treatment plan for dealing with a variety of injuries of lower and upper extremities as well as spine. You will also learn how to use force plate analysis to help accomplish this.

With the increasing popularity of weightlifting it is critical that healthcare providers understand these movements to best treat these patients. This course bridges the gap from medicine to sports science so your patients feel confident that you understand their injuries and what they need to do to get back to their sports or training.

The information provided in this course has significant and immediate practical application in your clinic and will provide another useful tool in your treatment arsenal!
