This course, utilizing a case study approach, will look at the pharmacologic implications related to physical therapist examination and treatment of our older adult patients. The course will review basic pharmacological processes and include implications related to sedatives and antidepressants.

Objectives 
1. Describe the pharmacokinetic factors involved in drug therapy
2. Analyze drug effects on central nervous system
3. Compare the various potential side/adverse effects associated with the medications described and the impact to physical therapy evaluation and treatment
