My love for movement attracted me to the field of physical therapy. The ability to empower others to maintain or regain their health through movement has fueled my passion for the field. The multitude of unanswered questions about how we can maximize our health through movement "moved" me to return to graduate school and become a Rehabilitation Scientist.

Why are you an APTA member?

I count on the APTA to provide me with the most up-to-date, evidenced-based resources; whether it is a local or a national conference, articles in Physical Therapy or the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy or legislation that guides practice. APTA provides me with a community of like-minded physical therapists that want to move our practice forward.

I am passionate about bringing physical therapy services to everyone! I have worked in migrant farm worker clinics, homeless shelters and remote areas of Mexico to bring physical therapy to those who might not otherwise have access.

When you're not working what do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy practicing yoga, running with friends, skiing, hiking and traveling with my husband and sons and volunteering in my community.
