Neurology SIG supports PD Optimism Walk

The PD Optimism 2023 walk is a fun-filled fundraising event that offers a short, non-competitive walk that offers family-friendly activities, music, vendor tables, and so much more!  

The APTA CT Neuro SIG attended the event as we aimed to provide fall risk assessments, information on PD and the role of exercise for management. We provided information on local resources (PT focused) for every attendee. Also, the Neuro SIG performed a 10 minute pre-walk warm up session focused on stretching, motivating and promoting engagement in movement.
